I am a commercial and editorial photographer and art director in San Francisco, California.

I have an unconventional art background:  my education is in art history and studio art, I shoot like a photojournalist, and I learned lighting, texture, color, and composition from painters, not other photographers.

My art history degree, combined with a lifelong love and appreciation for art museums, have internalized an idea that once an image exists, it exists forever, and a powerful image is one that engages you as deeply the 100th time you view it as it did the first time.

In a world of constant scrolling, my goal is to create arresting, compelling work that asks for a pause, and wholly envelop the viewer into these brief, impactful moments that celebrate the full width and breadth of beauty for all it is and all it can be.

I live in San Francisco, but as a native East Coaster, I travel frequently and usually shoot as a local. Please contact me for availability.
